About Skillnet Ireland
Skillnet Ireland is a business support agency of the Government of Ireland, with a mandate to advance the competitiveness, productivity and innovation of businesses operating in Ireland through enterprise-led workforce development. It works on joint investment: businesses access training by combining a Government grant with their own contribution — greatly reducing costs and other barriers.
Skillnet Ireland's national eligibility rules apply: in general, private-sector businesses based in the Republic of Ireland, including sole traders, can access part-funded upskilling. IRDG membership is not required for every course — each listing states its own eligibility, funding support and any member rate, and eligibility is confirmed at booking.
How members use it
IRDG Innovation Skillnet courses run through the year alongside the events calendar — from short practical sessions to accredited programmes. Training requests route through the network manager.
